  1. Mix ingredients in crockpot- This includes grape jelly, BBQ sauce, and liquid smoke.
  2. Add smokies– And combine.
  3. Cover– And cook.
  4. Mix– Until combined.

Try other sauces– Such as sweet chili sauce.

Honey garlic weiners– Use honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic in place of the sauce listed below.

Use a different jam– Try raspberry instead of grape.

Add a splash of Worchestershire– This adds even more flavor.

Make it spicy– Add red chili flakes or sriracha for a little heat.

Add 1-2 Tbsp mustard paste– For even more depth of flavor in the sauce.

Add 1/4 cup ketchup– For additional sweetness with a little tang.

When making sauce you don’t need to mix until completely smooth– The mixture does not have to be super smooth because the lumps will eventually dissolve by the heat. 

How to know when mini sausages are done? Since they are already cooked, you just need to make sure they are heated through and the sauce is smooth.

What to do if sauce is too thin? Simply keep cooking uncovered until the sauce thickens a little bit. It also thickens as it cools.

What to do is sauce is too thick? Simply add a little water to thin it out.

Use a liner for the crockpot– This makes clean-up so fast and easy.

  • 1-2 tsp Parsley, Optional, Fresh, Roughly chopped, For garnish

Instructions 

  • Add grape jelly, BBQ sauce, liquid smoke and mix. The mixture does not have to be super smooth because the lumps will eventually dissolve. 
  • Add smokies and combine everything together. 
  • Cover and cook on high heat for 2-3 hours. 
  • Mix until combined.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and enjoy.
