Hi everyone. My name is Abeer Rizvi and I am the recipe developer and photographer behind this food blog. I launched this website in 2020 with the belief that nothing brings a family closer than a delicious home-cooked meal. I wanted to create a space to share these easy crockpot recipes that are packed with flavor but wouldn't have you spending hours in the kitchen.

About Me
I live in Chicago and learned to cook from my Mom. One of my favorite meals that she taught me how to make is this Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken Curry. Although I am primarily self-taught, my passion for creating delicious meals has driven me to attend numerous classes and workshops, where I have refined my skills under the guidance of various chefs. I continue to participate in cooking events within my community and Sur La Table and Eataly, to keep expanding my culinary knowledge. I also travel around the world frequently and love exploring new cuisines, immersing myself in the unique flavors and culinary traditions that different countries have to offer. Developing slow cooker versions of these fine dishes (such as this Slow Cooker Italian Wedding Soup after my trip to Italy) and sharing them with all of you brings me immense joy.
Slow Cooker Recipes
Whether you are looking for chicken, beef, vegetarian, pasta recipes or even healthy dinner ideas or just good old comfort food, you will find all of that here. I want to make this your number one resource for the best crockpot recipes ever. These dishes are all family approved and I truly hope you enjoy them.
My Mission
I believe in working smarter, not harder. Every recipe I share here requires simple ingredients you likely already have in your pantry and requires minimal prep time. They're all made in the slow cooker because let's be honest: Who has time for complicated recipes? Also, no one wants to deal with a pile of dirty pots and pans afterward. Many of these recipes are "dump and go." We all lead busy lives, so use that extra time for the things you love!

I hate the smell of BBQ sauce and it makes me a bit nauseous. I love wearing hats. I can’t swim and freak out a little when I am on boat rides. I love garlic and there is no such thing as "too much." I have a wonderful hubby and one son who are my “everything.
It's hard for me to say because I wasn't in the kitchen with you but many times, it's because readers try substitutions for ingredients. Please make the recipe as written in the recipe card.
I really like multi-purpose ones from Hamilton Beach and Cuisinart that allow you to saute in the slow cooker itself, which you can find on Amazon. Another favorite is the Crock-Pot brand. It's a classic and I grew up using it and it's readily available on Amazon, Target, Walmart.
